Access to IC Modules. Relevant Employee Roles

IC Processes are carried out by multiple people in different Roles. In FCX, access to IC Modules is controlled by the appropriate employee roles.

Basic Role

Build Plans Manager — a basic role for a desktop user. It must be added first for all the IC related roles, like BOM Manager, Financial, Project Library Manager, Warehouse Manager, etc. Access rules to the references, reports will then be inherited (a higher level of access overrides a lower one).

Other IC Roles

Project Library Manager — Employees are responsible for designing and building Project Templates.

Financial — Employees with finance access. Managers with financial responsibility for Material consumption in their Department or geographic area.

IC Administrator — Employees with responsibility for understanding all aspects of Inventory control.
Employees responsible for “sourcing” Materials.

Procurement — Employees with responsibility for inventory transactions: transfer materials between warehouses, adjustment inventory stock.

Warehouse User — View access to the My Warehouses module in the FCX mobile app.

Warehouse ManagerEmployees with authority to pull Materials from stock for BP use and manage stock through Purchase requests or (approved) Transfers and Adjustments. The role provides access to the Transfers and Material Adjustments dashboards: can create a material transfer, adjustment.

Roles that support filter by Class/WH

BOM Manager — controls the list of accessible Build Plans on the BOM dashboard.

While the Build Plan Manager role grants access to the BOM dashboard itself, the BOM Manager role determines which Build Plans are visible.

  • For the accessible Build Plans, users can also access the BOM tab within the Build Plan card.
  • Capabilities include creating and canceling BOMs.

Access Restrictions

  • The BOM Manager role includes restrictions based on Location Type – Warehouse, meaning employees with this role will only see records related to their assigned warehouses.
  • Alternatively, restrictions can be applied by Class, allowing users to view only Build Plans filtered by Class, as well as Build Plans related to them personally (e.g., if they are the Build Plan Owner, Project Owner, etc.).
