FCX SETUP WALKTHROUGH

Receive Files & Your Company’s Credentials & Codes via Email

You will be sent the following items:

Run “Notepad” as Administrator.

Open “Hosts” File. Full path to the file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Switch file type to “all” to make file visible.

Paste Host into File: 12.0.0.4 FXSRV

Download pfx VPN cert via Email Attachment
Open pfx File to Install cert.
Set VPN cert Store Location to “Current User”
Leave VPN cert Filename As-Is
Choose to Include all Extended Properties
Input Password for FCX VPN Install: “123”
Select Certificate Store = “Automatically select the certificate store base on the type of certificate,” then click “Next”
Click “Finish”
In a popup window click “Yes”

Navigate Web Browser to: https://fieldclix.box.com/v/ClientDistributive
Download Files:
- Grant Permission if Blocked
- Download “FXCoreVPNGateway.zip”
- Download (Conterra) “Client.exe”

Extract VPN Installer and Open Extracted Files Location

Open Installer in “FXCoreVPNGateway\WindowsAmd64”
- Run the file titled “VpnClientSetupAmd64.exe”
Grant Permission / Override Security Warnings

Locate VPN via Windows Toolbar → Networks → VPN.

Grant Permission / Override Security Warnings.

Run Conterra Client Installer you downloaded earlier: File titled “Client.exe”.

Install Conterra “Without Connection Check”:

Enter Your Company Code into the Conterra Installer
Log Files Path: \\FXSRV\Logs$
Enter Log Files Paths:
- Specify the Log Files Path = \\FXSRV\Logs$ → click Next. If a popup window appears (Path does not exist) → just click Yes.
- Specify the Profiling Log Files Path = \\FXSRV\Logs$ → click Next. If a popup window appears (Path does not exist) → just click Yes.
Set Conterra System Admin. Email to support@fieldclix.com
Leave Installation folder path as entered by default → click Next.
Leave all checkboxes per default → click Next.
Override Security Warning & complete installation.
Do not immediately launch Conterra! You need to complete one more step first.

Locate Program Via: Windows/Start → Programs → “O” → Orienge Conterra → System Manager.

Add New System to System Manager.

Input Your Company Code & FCX Server Code to Add System.
