Managing Shipment Packages in the Mobile App

A shipment package is a group of Material Items entered into the inventory of a specific warehouse. The Warehouse module in the mobile app allows you to efficiently manage these packages — from viewing and adding new packages to including Material Items or updating existing packages.

Accessing the Shipment Packages Interface

  1. Open the mobile app and navigate to the Warehouse module.
  2. Select the warehouse you want to manage.
  3. Tap Packages from the menu to open the Shipment Packages interface.

You can also access the Packages screen through a specific area or Material Item:

  • In the Area or Material Item card, tap the Box icon to open the Packages list filtered by that area or Material Item.

To quickly locate a specific package:

  • Use the search bar to filter by area, material name, item name, or package number.
  • For faster results, use the Scanning feature:
    • Tap the Scan ⛶ icon.
    • Point your device’s camera at the barcode of a Material Item.
    • The scanned data will automatically populate the filter fields, instantly narrowing your search results.

Editing a Package (Change Number, Delete)

To update an existing package:

  1. Tap and hold the package you want to modify to open its details card.
  2. Change the package number — you may also use the scanning option to enter the number quickly.
  3. After making changes, tap the Save icon to apply them.
  4. To permanently delete the package, tap the Delete icon.
    • Note that only packages without any Material Items can be deleted.
  5. If you choose not to save changes, tap the Cross ❌ icon to return to the previous screen.

Adding a New Package

To create a new shipment package in the current warehouse:

  1. Tap the ✚ icon in the top-right corner of the Packages screen.
  2. Enter a number for the new package, or use the Scan option to input the number quickly.
  3. Tap Save to add the package to the warehouse inventory.

Filling a Package with Material Items

Shipment packages are populated by adding Material Items.

  1. On the Packages screen, tap the + icon to add a new Material Item.
  2. In the New Material Item form, complete the following fields:
    • Material: Select the material, typically identified as Customer Provided Equipment (CPE) or requiring a serial number (SN). This field may be pre-filled with the current material.
    • Vendor: Choose the supplier or manufacturer. This list includes only vendors with a specified price in the Material card.
    • Area: Specify the location area for the Material Item. This field may be pre-filled with the current area. To assign a different area, clear the field and select another.
    • Build Plan: Assign the Material Item to a specific Build Plan to simplify adding it to the Bill of Materials (BOM) for that plan.
    • SN (Serial Number): Enter the unique serial number identifying the Material Item.
    • Tag # (optional): Provide an additional unique identifier, if applicable.
    • Assembly # (optional): Use this to group related Material Items when relevant.
  3. Tap Add Item to save the new Material Item. You will see a count of Material Items added.
  4. You can continue adding multiple Material Items under the selected material by entering different serial numbers.
  5. Once finished, tap the arrow icon at the top-left to return to the Package screen.
  6. When the package is fully populated, tap the Send icon to record the Material Items as entered into stock. Sent Material Items change status from Draft to Not Assigned to BOM, making them available to be added to the Bill of Materials (BOM) for kitting to Site.

Note:

  • Only draft Material Items can be sent to stock.
  • Material Items added outside of custom packages are automatically included in a system-generated package. This package is named using the format: Category Number + Date + GUID.

Remove Material Item from Package

Only draft Material Items can be deleted. To delete an MI, open the Packages screen, tap on the desired package. Then tap and hold the appropriate draft MI, then tap the Delete button that appears.
