Employees with Financial Access in Build Plans/Dashboards/References

Modified on Tue, Sep 9 at 7:08 AM

In FCX, we have a term “Employee with Finance Access”. It defines a specific access level that allows viewing and managing financial data within Build Plans. This access combines both Employee role assignments and Project role memberships.

Criteria to qualify as an Employee with Finance Access:

  • You must be assigned a Financial Employee role.
  • If you are a Build Plan (BP) Owner, you can access the finances of all your Build Plans.
  • If you are a Project Owner, you have access to the financials for all Build Plans within your Project.
  • If you are a member of a Project Role with the "Finance Access" checkbox enabled, you can view finances for all Build Plans where you are involved.
  • Having the Employee Role "All Direct Cost BPs Financials" grants you access to financial information for all Direct Cost Build Plans.
  • The "Full Financial" Role provides extended access to the finances of all Build Plans.

This access rule governs what you see on dashboards, visible tabs, and the financial sections within Build Plan cards. It also filters what financial records you can access, even via Quick Launch, including:

  • Sales Orders,
  • Purchase Orders (both CIM and VIM),
  • CIM Invoices,
  • Budgets,
  • Adhoc Revenues,
  • Expenses (CODs and VIM Invoices).

In summary, if you have access to a Build Plan’s financials, you automatically have access to all associated financial reference records and their attached financial documents.
