TABLE OF CONTENTS
Short answer: For each Time Card payroll line, Fieldclix Financial Distribution (source type Time Keeping) uses the first available Financial Account in a fixed priority list. Prevailing wage (PW) lines follow a different list than non-PW lines. Employee TK Configuration defaults apply only as the last step on non-PW lines.
Time Card payroll allocation is the source. Rows with the same FA + Build Plan + Service Item are summed in the FD table. Payroll Item matching happens at Time Card calculation; the FD only reads the FA on the Payroll Item already on the line.

PW hours — FA priority
Use the first FA found:
| # | Source |
| 1 | Setting FA For TK Prevailing Wage (FAForTKPrevailingWage) |
| 2 | Cost Type |
| 3 | Work Order Category |
| 4 | Work Order Type |
Not used for PW: Payroll Item FA, employee TK Configuration defaults.
Non-PW hours — FA priority
Use the first FA found:
| # | Source |
| 1 | Payroll Item (FA on the assigned item) |
| 2 | Cost Type |
| 3 | Work Order Category |
| 4 | Work Order Type |
| 5 | Employee TK Configuration (on the Time Card date) |
Step 5 — employee default (only if 1–4 are empty):
| Work Order | Default FA |
| Type = Nonwork | Non Work FA |
| Scenario = Overhead | Overhead FA |
| Other | Direct Cost FA |
Other notes
- Amount = hours × cost rate (rate priority is separate). No cost rates → no TK FD.
- Payroll screen FA preview may skip WO Category; FD uses the full chain above—trust the FD table for reporting.
- Empty FA → incomplete FD. Locked FDs do not auto-update.
One FA for all PW hours? Set FA For TK Prevailing Wage.
Overhead employee FA? Uses WO Scenario = Overhead, not Build Plan name alone.
